Dart Weekend 5-8th December 2019

Upper Dart x 2 and Loop x 1

Level: Day 1 Low, Day 2 medium

People: Dan, Andy, Mitch, Lewis, Johnny and Martyn

Notes: First time on the Dart for everyone apart from Andy. Levels were on the low side on Saturday. After a late night following the drive down and the fact that it was a new and challenging river for most of the group this was probably a good thing. Rain overnight brought levels up on Sunday, to a good medium (half way up the slab for these that know the river) or as Andy put it….things might be a bit sporty! They did indeed with a bit of synchronised swimming from 2 of the group. The club chair once again demonstrated his complete commitment to the club (and the wider paddling community) by providing an opportunity for some white-water safety and rescue practice by getting pinned above ‘surprise surprise’. A great weekend was had by all and thanks to Andy for organising everything and Lewis and Martyn for driving.
